An Early Morning Sunday Stroll

As the title of this post suggests, I decided to take an early morning stroll on Sunday. I decided to take my camera along for the ride which is a bit out of the ordinary for me as I usually just like to enjoy the morning and not see it through a lens. I must admit I did feel a little self conscious at first taking photographs, not that I've never taken photographs in public before I've just usually had someone with me. The more photographs I took the more comfortable I began to feel and by the end I didn't mind the glances I was getting from the dog walkers.  It did feel like the prefect start to the end of my weekend just wandering and taking photographs. It allowed me time to think, mostly about random little things which will no doubt manifest themselves into blog posts, but until then I hope you like the photographs I took. I should probably edit them and adjust the brightness but I do like the washed out quality they have.

A WINTER'S DAY AT THE BEACH

I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something wonderfully peaceful about taking a walk along a beach in the freezing cold and blustery wind, then warming yourself up in a near by coffee shop with a large hot chocolate. Which is exactly what my friend Celene and I did a week or so ago. As always I had my Camera in hand and I happily snapped away as we wandered and talked. I decided to  pick a few of my favourite photographs to share with you all.

OH JOHNNY, OH JOHNNY, OH JOHNNY

Every year on the 26th and 27th of July the town of Leyburn hop into their time machines and travel back to the 1940s. My Dad, Mum and I, along with our neighbour/family friend Mic and his faithful companion Ruby (the dog) all piled into the car and began the hour long journey back to the 1940s.The sun was shining  and the day was filled with live music, friendly people, fish and chips and a very refreshing glass of home made lemonade. (Must admit it did feel like I had been transported into an Enid Blyton book)

I had gone with the intention of taking as many photographs as possible but sometimes whilst looking through a lens you have a tendency to miss things and I wanted to create memories of the day not just photographs.

However, I hope you enjoy the photgraphs I did take.

A LITTLE OUTING

Hello dearies,
How are you all on this fine Sunday morning?

One of my best friends Jennifer is back from uni YIPPEE!!, so her and I went for a coffee and a catch up last Monday. There is a little family run cafe not to far from Jen's house called Mac'N'allies if your ever in South Shields or near by I would definitely recommend its so quaint and beautiful everything you see you can buy I could spend hours there. I think its prefect for anyone who loves quirky little cafes. After scoffing down a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with a hot chocolate YUM, we decided to go for a walk, it was such a lovely day the sun was shinning no wind but it was cold, a nice crisp day and everywhere was so still and quiet. Thankfully I had my camera with me so I can share these beautiful pictures with you.

WILL YE GO LASSIE, GO...

Hello everyone,

Back in November I went to Perthshire in Scotland with my family for 4 days and stayed at the Hydro Hotel. I would have to say Scotland has to be my favorite place on the planet one day I hope  will live in Scotland. I am at my most happiest roaming around the countryside with camera in hand. There just something about Scotland that make me feel instantly happy, perhaps its my Scottish roots coming through.

Played a little Chess with the mother. I lost simply because I suck at Chess.

Who doesn't like soup

I miss Christmas :(

I think I literally chased this robin for about half an hour.

Oh I'm such a comedian

Ice Cream is gooooooooooooood

I love going on family holidays and it had been such a long time since we were on one.  Perthshire is such a beautiful place as you can probably tell. My brother went up 2 days after my Mum and Dad, which I regret so much simply because my Dad met Ewan McGregor....sigh.
